LowhaOS MVP Build & Kickstarter Launch

Today we hit a major milestone. The first MVP build of LowhaOS is now running on the Fairphone Gen 6 — a fully functional Android-based operating system rebuilt from the kernel up to eliminate digital exploitation at the system level.

This isn't a skin or a launcher. LowhaOS intercepts and drops toxic packets before they ever reach the display layout engine. Adult content and gambling are structurally impossible — not filtered, not toggleable, impossible. Combined with system-enforced social media time windows, the phone itself becomes a commitment device you cannot negotiate with.

A New Direction for Lowha

When we launched in May 2026, Lowha was a single product: a Chromium-based desktop browser that blocked adult content at the engine level. It was a powerful first step — over 13 million sites blocked, no VPN or proxy backdoors, and SafeSearch locked across all major search engines.

But the vision was always bigger than a browser. Since launch, we've developed LowhaOS as an immutable kernel-level operating system running on Fairphone hardware. What started as a browser project is now a complete ethical technology ecosystem.

Lowha Desktop Browser Launches

Today marks a major milestone for the Lowha project. The first public build of the Lowha Desktop Browser was available for desktop however now just on iOS and Android.

Built on Chromium, Lowha enforces hardened content filtering at the browser engine level — no extensions, no DNS tricks, and no VPN workarounds. With over 13 million adult sites blocked at launch, SafeSearch locked across all major search engines, and built-in ad and tracker blocking, Lowha provides the most comprehensive family-safe browsing experience available today.
