Lowha Desktop Browser Launches

Today marks a major milestone for the Lowha project. The first public build of the Lowha Desktop Browser is was availbel for desktop however now just on iOS and Android.

Built on Chromium, Lowha enforces hardened content filtering at the browser engine level — no extensions, no DNS tricks, and no VPN workarounds. With over 13 million adult sites blocked at launch, SafeSearch locked across all major search engines, and built-in ad and tracker blocking, Lowha provides the most comprehensive family-safe browsing experience available today.

This is just the beginning. We're already working on the next set of features, including iOS and Android releases, a dedicated LowhaOS, and expanded content filtering capabilities. Stay tuned.

A New Direction for Lowha

When we launched in May 2026, Lowha was a single product: a Chromium-based desktop browser that blocked adult content at the engine level. It was a powerful first step — over 13 million sites blocked, no VPN or proxy backdoors, and SafeSearch locked across all major search engines.

But the vision was always bigger than a browser. Since launch, we've expanded into hardware with Lowha Phone and developed LowhaOS as an immutable kernel-level operating system. What started as a browser project is now a complete ethical technology ecosystem.
